Project Play

Project Play began as a wild, pie in the sky idea over chicken wings. Could we create an event that would bring together so many of London’s fan communities under one roof? But more importantly, could we build that event as a fundraiser, providing play opportunities to children and families being supported by outstanding local organizations?

Blackberry cutting 40% of workforce will post Q2 loss
http://www.lfpress.com/2013/09/20/fallen-canadian-tech-giant-blackberry-cuts-4500-jobshttp://www.cbc.ca/news/does-blackberry-have-a-future-1.1862945

BlackBerry has said it will change its focus, going from six to four handsets and focusing on the enterprise and pro-sumer market.

“I think that’s a precursor of getting out of the handset business entirely,” telecom analyst Carmi Levy told CBC News.

In future, Levy said, he sees a much smaller and leaner BlackBerry, focusing on a few key businesses, most likely software and services. Levy said the release this weekend of BlackBerry Messenger for Android and iOS could be a glimpse into the company’s future.
